Event Description

With winter can come forboding. The shorter days, the colder nights. It is important that as the world can darken, we come together in song and merriment to keep the light alive in each and every heart.

And some times, the world will shift. While our events can remain, they can grow and they can alter. This is a year of change and experimentation.

Cornix, messenger of the gods, has been given one day to work with a willing host and to bestow gifts upon the Realms that she has found in her travels. Also, in honor of the world she loves, she will crown a Lord or Lady of the Festival.

There will be chances for many past traditions, as she works with Revelers of the past to bring the light that is needed.

Rules Changes and Notes

Event Pricing:
The Event is on a sliding scale. $40 is the absolute minimum to cover the site and food. 1/2 price for children 13-6, 5 and under are free. If people wish to donate more toward the event, we are, of course, appreciative for any help.

NOTE: PLEASE indicate when you pre reg if you are needing a bunk space, and if you or someone else has paid for it. We have 3 of the 5 cabins filled so far.

Cabins: CABIN SPACE IS NOW FULL. Cabins will have 10 people per cabin and there are 5 cabins. Bunks are first come, first serve. Please contact me to make sure families stay together. If you are having someone pay for a large group of people and everyone wants to try and be together, please talk to Steven to see if it can be arraigned.

Pre- Registration with money gaurantees bunk space. a cabin/ bunk is not secured without money in hand.

To avoid the fee, you can send money via paypal (friends and family) to smatulewicz1@gmail.com

Parking:
The Lower Lot will be UNLOAD ONLY. Please park in the lower lot and unload what you need for the event, then place your vehicle back up top. Only Staff vehicles are allowed beyond the lower lot/ Gate (There is now a wooden gate structure)

Alcohol and substances:
This is a damp event. People will be held responsible for their own actions when it comes to Alcohol. If you want to put something behind the bar you can. (please don’t forget to tip your servers!) But if you want to keep your bottle with you, you can do that as well. If you wish to drink you will be carded and get a wristband. If you are not of age you will also have to have a wrist band while you are on site. We expect all of you to be controlled and reasonable. If you are not sufficiently sober you should not be fighting. Please no rounded corners.
Our Marijuana policy is similar, you are responsible for your own actions. The site rules about this is there is NO smoking anything within 50 feet of any building. We have a few people who are allergic to Marijuana. If you smoke take all necessary precautions so that when you come back inside the rest of us can’t smell it on you.

Loose Schedule:
Friday Night:
People are welcome to come, help decorate, and to gather their groups for any personal celebrations they may have or want to share. Any EH with "light plot" ideas that wish to make an announcement, please contact me.

Food: Friday Night will be Pot Luck. The food prep for Saturday in full swing, the kitchen will be providing modest snacks and drinks. Please bring food to share: there will be outlets to set up crock pots, I (Sagart) will do my best to not upset the kitchen gods and help to warm up anything brought that needs to be warmed.

The Friday night poker Stacked Deck tournament will be a 25-gold buy in, unlimited rebuys for the first hour. 4000 chips to start, with the optional 5 gold for 1000 dealer tip. For this tournament we are going to try something a little different, the extra 1000 for 5 gold to the dealer will be available for all rebuys and the add ons. Players can do this any time their stack is at 2000 chips or less in the first hour. At the end of the hour anyone, regardless of stack size can do one Add-on 4000 chips for 25 gold (with or without the 5 gold for the dealer 1000 chip add on) This will start as soon as we get 8 players signed up. Note: Sir Tao and Sir Sagart will not be playing but might be looking for some newer players to sponsor into the tournament. If you have been playing for less than 2 years, come and find us to discuss it.
This will last until we have clear winners, or 3 hours. The blinds will be 30 minutes, 25-50, 50-100, 100-200, 200-400, 300-600, 500-1000.

Good citizens of the Realms,

Lady Kyomi is creating savory delights and has asked the good patissieres of the Realms to bring dessert. From gingerbread houses and colorful cookies to Yule logs and plum puddings, we don’t want to restrict your culinary creativity. The contest will be overseen by a panel of judges who will sample and select the best of the best. I encourage participants to include an ingredient list for allergens and a small write up if you wish to add information about any home made ingredients or the significance of the dish.

Would you like to BE A JUDGE? For a 25 gold fee, we will recruit up to 6 additional judges and you will get to try everything first! First come first serve. See Kyomi on Saturday to be added to the judges list.

Second Place: 100 gold
Third Place: 75 gold
Fourth Place 50 gold

Evening:

As the sun sets, there will be a visit from Pater Yule for any Adventurer 13 and under.

We plan on having a Gift Swap and Auction.

The Gifts of Cornix will be a Golden Ticket Raffle. Every person 14 and older will be entered in. Raffle will be early in the evening for this.

Every person, who is eligable, when at registration will pull a Golden Ticket A number will be on the ticket and the Reg desk will note you down as that number. Please keep your ticket as a reminder of your number: that is your place in line. When Cornix Announces her Gift Give, people will assemble in order from 1 ascending. The giant Mimic on stage will be holding on to all of the gifts: please approach the stage, one by one, and choose a gift from the literal hundreds of bags and boxes. Trading gifts is encouraged.

Gift Swap!

Dearest friends,
We are keeping traditions alive and well. At the Winter Revelry we will be hosting a secret swap. It's very simple. You fill out the below information for me, and I'll get you a name to bring a gift for! When you arrive at the party, please put your gift (which I know will be clearly labeled with the recipient's name) under the tree. In the evening, we will do the swap!
XOXO

OOC: there is no price limit, only do what you can do. Remember this is all IC. The biggest tip I can give you is to remember that this swap it to bring others joy. Please do not gripe if the gift isn't ideal. Someone thought of you and did the best they could.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

The Healer's Guild Presents: Sunday!
We'll be hosting a day of food, fun, and training presented by the Healer's Guild. Squire Tirvanel will be running the kitchen, providing comforting food and drink, while Sir Tara has once again united monsters from around the world to give everyone who would like a chance to practice our questing skills in the winter. Most importantly, the Healer's Challenge will return with a brand new and more difficult challenge to test your skills.

Since Sunday has its own budget, we're asking anyone who is willing to make a donation towards the food. We will have tickets for anyone who makes a donation, 1 ticket for $5, and these tickets can be exchanged for one of our fancier grilled cheeses or 1 ticket per person may be exchanged for pulled pork made by Sir Laika. As another special treat, once we have hit $100 in donations, we will be offering Yipp's Bar of Life with more mocktails becoming available as we hit more milestones yet to come. Donations should be sent to: casscainbatgirl@gmail.com on paypal.
