Event Description

IC:

Adventurers of The Realms,

It has been an exciting two years for Blackavar since the defeat of Rexan by your efforts. With Darkvale reclaimed and a new bridge built between our nations, civilization has been returned to our ancient and glorious country.
On the evening of the 25th of October, as the moon wanes into the new moon of Winter, we invite you to join us to celebrate the end of our first successful harvest season with a celebration of Vesta’s blessings on our homes.
Come enjoy games, food, drink, and a warm fire in the center of Blackavar Proper hosted by the generosity of the Wilmont, Taunton, and Gautier families. We also invite you to bring and share the harvest bounty of your own nations to share with us.
The nightly curfew will be lifted officially on this night as we enjoy the protection of Baron Gautier’s guards, who have assured the people that any threat from remaining indigent fauna has been eliminated.

Adam Carnac will be hosting a series of tournaments for those who want to fight for gold and glory, and facilitating betting for those who just want the gold.
We have also been informed that some of our locals have decided to put on a “Haunted Hay Ride” for those interested.

During the next two days, come see how our country has prospered! Visit our marketplace, farms, and newly refurbished manor houses from days gone by renewed once more.

Vesta’s Blessings,
Lady Isabella Taunton, Baron Kurt Gautier, and Willem Wilmont

OOC:

The Knights of the Sable Dragon are proud to present our second installation of KoSD Questing!

There will be Stacked Deck poker tournaments held at The KoSD Questing II on October 25th and/or 26th depending on player interest. It will start when we get enough players. It will last approximately 3 hours. It is a 50-gold buy-in for 6000 chips. When you first buy-in, you will be given an opportunity to buy 1000 extra chips for 10 gold. this 10 gold will go directly to the dealer as a tip.
REBUYS: 1 50 gold rebuy in the first hour any time your stack is at 3000 chips or less. Regardless of you stack size at the end of the first hour anyone that has not already done so can do one 50 gold rebuy for 6000 chips.
9 20-minute blinds will be used: 25-50, 50-100, 100-200, 200-400, 300-600, 500-1000, 1000-2000, 1500-3000, 2000-4000.

There will be a small night quest primarily geared towards new players. We ask that anyone who goes out adventuring during the evening refrain from drinking alcohol until after they have returned. We will not tolerate any inebriated questing or underage drinking at this event

Saturday - Day
Come explore Blackavar Proper and the surrounding areas. We will be running an open-world questing style with many NPCs to interact with and possibly get hooked into small-group questing of all sorts.
Marketplace
In the center of the city will be a marketplace with stalls for you to peruse and interact with the shopkeepers! There will also be specific shops with boffers, beginner armor, spell components, and more!
Vendors:
Mercenary Market

Don’t have much gold you say? There are many opportunities inside and outside of the city to earn gold and a special new token! Go check out the Bounty Board in the Sleepy Ferret Tavern!

Exclusively for new players (under 2 years in game) we will be introducing a new NON-STEALABLE TOKEN released by the Knights of the Sable Dragon - Dragonmarks.
These tokens are worth the equivalent of 5 gold, and only usable by players whose first event was within the last two years. The goal of this token is to help outfit new players with their basic gear to keep them safe and prepared in their first year of questing and years to come. We encourage that other vendors in The Realms accept these tokens at 5g value when used by new players, and promptly re-release them for use!

Saturday Night
Expect a night quest! After the conclusion of the night quest, we invite you back to the tavern for any remaining food and another bonfire!

Sunday
Sunday’s quest will be a foray into the mountain range north of Blackavar Proper at the behest of Baron Gautier as well as RP and wrap-up from the previous day’s events.
